currently at the airport and leaving ny for about 3 months, and i'm a little hesitant about it.
the part that brought me great sadness was when i had to "put down" this hybrid orchid of mine that i've been growing for some time now. i said to it "it brings me great sadness to have to say these words and I am sorry for what i'm about to do; i'm going to have dry you"
I guess that was better than putting it in the garbage since it would just wilt away helplessly
